Privacy
policy.
What we collect when you contact us, why we use it, who else touches it, and the rights you have over it — under GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA and CCPA.
Who we are
Devontix Solutions ("Devontix", "we", "us") operates the website at devontixsolutions.com and provides software development, design, digital marketing and automation services to clients internationally.
For the purposes of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, Devontix Solutions is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. For personal data we process inside a client's own systems while delivering a project, we normally act as a data processor under that client's instructions.
Questions about this policy or about your data: info@devontixsolutions.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the contact form or email us, we collect the details you choose to provide:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The service you are interested in
- The content of your message
We do not ask for payment card details, government identifiers or sensitive personal data through this website, and you should not send them to us by email.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical information for security and reliability purposes: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and timestamps.
If website analytics are enabled, aggregated usage data such as page views, traffic sources and approximate country-level location may also be recorded. Analytics data is used in aggregate and is not used to build a personal profile of you.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a proposal or scope of work. Legal basis: legitimate interests, and steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
- To deliver a project you have engaged us for. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To keep the website secure and available and to prevent abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it. Legal basis: legitimate interests, or consent where required by local law.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks for their own purposes.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website is built as a static site and does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of its own.
Some third-party services used to deliver the site may set cookies or read technical data in your browser:
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on the site.
- Content delivery networks (cdnjs, jsDelivr) — serve animation libraries.
- Formspree — processes contact form submissions.
- Web analytics, where enabled, to measure aggregate traffic.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them will not prevent you from reading the site.
Who we share information with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent needed:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that serve this website.
- Formspree, which delivers contact form submissions to our inbox.
- Email and productivity providers used to correspond with you and manage projects.
- Analytics providers, where analytics is enabled.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.
Where a provider is located outside your country, transfers are made using appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an equivalent mechanism.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects: normally up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client project records: for the duration of the engagement and for as long as needed afterwards to meet contractual, accounting and legal obligations.
- Server logs: typically a short rolling window set by our hosting provider.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal data:
- Access a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your data
- Restrict or object to how we process it
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under US state privacy laws
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
These rights arise under the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, Canada's PIPEDA, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and comparable laws elsewhere.
To exercise any right, email info@devontixsolutions.com. We respond within one month, and will tell you if we need longer. You may also complain to your local data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission.
How we protect information
We use HTTPS across the entire site, restrict access to enquiry data to people who need it, keep software and dependencies updated, and use reputable providers for hosting and email. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take these obligations seriously and will notify you and the relevant regulator where a breach requires it.
Children
This website and our services are intended for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, providers or legal obligations change. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be announced on this page.
